  • Trekking Poles(we can supply)

  • Thermal gloves (yes, even in summer we have needed these)

For winter    days:

  • 50 to 60 litre rucksack (we can supply)
  • Warm fleece or down jacket (we love windstopper fabric) 
  • Warm headware (facemask or balaclava optional) 
  • Boots - 3 or 4 season boots. Need boots that take crampon

  • Mountaineering Jacket
  • Winter trousers (thermal)
  • Extra base layers 
  • Crampons (we can supply)

  • Ice Axe - basic walking or mountaineering axe (we can supply)

For  Fagaras  traversing  trail  during  summer:

  • Stove (we prefer gas to fuel burners) (we can supply) 
  • Cooking pan and utensils

  • Rubbish bag (all rubbish and packaging must be taken out)
  • Mountain food for the number of days/nights you are out on the hills.
