Apuseni Mountains, in the Western Carpathians, are different and unique in our country! Here nature and the inhabitants - named "moți" - have been living in perfect symbiosis since a long time ago! You will be charmed by their unique way of life, their age old traditions, by the unique architecture and local customs. You will cross hills, villages, meadows; it will be not only a crossing, it will be a trail of discovery, where you will discover ancestral traditions, unspoiled areas, mountain villages forgotten by time, beautiful gorges and waterfalls. |
Day 1
Private transfer from the airport (Timișoara, Bucuresti, Sibiu, Cluj-Napoca) to Geoagiu de Sus, close to Alba Iulia, one of the most charming cities of this area. Overnight in Casa Butnarului guesthouse where you can taste traditional biological food.
Day 2
First trekking day...from the beginning we will be in the middle of unspoiled nature, on our way we will cross gentle hills and deep valleys, hamlets such as Fata Pietrii and Tecsesti. We will meet happy and simple people who still live as they did a hundred years ago! We return to Casa Butnaruliu for a second night. Technical details: 12 km with 600m+
Day 3
We start the day with a visit to Ramet monastery and then cross the Ramet canyon - two hours of pure joy - until we reach Cheia, a hamlet with 5 inhabitans! An uphill path will lead us to Bradesti village and we then follow a trail which will lead us to our guests house - a local family in the village of Valea Inzelului. Accommodation and dinner with local products. Technical details: 15 km with 450m+
Day 4
On the third day we continue our way crossing Floresti hamlet, where we have the opportunity to meet a few local people and see how they live in this charming area. We visit the Vanatarea Ponorului waterfall and the day will end in the village of Sub Piatra at the guesthouse with the same name. Technical details: 12km with 400m+
Day 5
We start the day with a 10km trail through the forest until we reach a beautiful place where there is a hidden treasure - the Sipote waterfall - a strange and beautiful spot. After lunch we continue our walk to the village of Rametea to the cozy guesthouse of Dr Demeter. Technical details: 10km with 650m+
Day 6
On the last day we cross the impressive ridge of the Piatra Secuiului mountain from where we can admire the beautiful views, returning to Rametea along a different path after visiting the Coltesti fortress. We return to Dr Demeter’s guesthouse to overnight. Technical details: 10km with 450m+
Day 7
On the way to the airport we will visit the salt mine in the village of Turda.

Price for a 6 persons group: 1550 euro/person. The price includes: private transfer from/to the airport, 5 guided trekking days, 7 days half-board accommodation and picnic-lunches, luggage transfer.
